ADD

Attention Deficit Disorder:

This disorder exhibits a persistent behavorial pattern of inattention or minimal attention in a person. This behavior is not consistent with a pattern of good learning skills. ADD can directly cause underdevelopment in learning behavior which can have a negative impact on our social, school or academic lives; work and occupational lives as well.

A few of the symptoms that manifest from ADD are: 

  1. Oppositional behavior, oppositional defiance, anger, hostility and difficulty following directions, comprehending work or school instruction. 
  2. Persons with this disorder do not pay close attention to details, which means they often make careless mistakes because of overlooked or missing details. 
  3. Tasks are never finished or completed. Their mind always seems to be somewhere else even when you are speaking directly to them. 
  4. No Follow up or follow through on given tasks, whether schoolwork, chores around the house, job instructions and job performance are difficult. They are easily sidetracked and lose mental sight, becoming easily unfocused are symptomatic. They dislike jobs or tasks that will lock them down for long periods of time. 
  5. Persons with ADD can be disorganized and loose items easily and be messy. 
  6. They are often forgetful about appointments, running errands, returning calls and paying bills. They are Attention Deficit which means they display persistent problems with paying attention.
